Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels
A chemical peel creates a controlled and even shedding of several layers of damaged cells from the facial skin, leaving a fresh new layer.  Ideal for acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and other skin blemishes.

Mild Chemical Peel
The most superficial peel is offered by a series of jessner or low concentration tri-chloroacetic acid (TCA) treatments.  This mild peel which leaves the face fresher and rejuvenated is often used in conjunction with microdermabrasion for maximum effect.

Medium to Deep Chemical Peel
A higher concentration TCA treatment allows a medium depth peel that gives dramatic and lasting results.  It produces marked improvement in blotchy pigmentation, freckling, sun damage, fine wrinkles and some acne scarring.  During the peeling stage clients may want to stay out of circulation because it is unsightly, though not painful.  The effects of a TCA peel are rather like a heavy sunburn, leaving a fresh layer of skin at completion.  It is important to protect this skin from the sun.
