At Vein and Skin Clinic, dermal fillers are one of the most popular treatments undergone by their patients and the results are consistently outstanding. This is because the Vein and Skin Clinic is a registered medical clinic offering advanced levels of skill and an expert knowledge of using the best products on an individual patient basis.
Vein and Skin Clinic use a range of highly reputable dermal filler brands. These include the Hyaluronic Acid fillers, Restylane and Teosyl, as well as a Poly-L-Lactic acid filler, Sculptra. Safe and extremely effective, these dermal fillers have been approved by the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM) and work wonders for skin enhancements.
The gel-like injectable liquids act quickly to create a soft and more youthful appearance to the skin while stimulating your own collagen production to hydrate and volumise. As the procedure is straightforward, you will see results immediately and can go about your day as normal once you leave the clinic.
Another popular product is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), where your own blood is used to revitalize damaged skin and reduce fine lines and improve skin texture.
Defy the signs of aging without resorting to drastic measures
When the signs of aging bother us, the term ‘facelift’ can go over and over in our head. But this is a drastic measure that requires a lot of downtime.
Dermal fillers can be a brilliant alternative to a surgical facelift and really should be trialled initially before any surgical intervention.
- Smooth out wrinkles on face and neck
- Add volume to hollow areas under eyes and temples
- Plump up your cheek bones
- Create fuller lips
- Lift saggy areas
What is the difference between Dermal Fillers?
Restylane and Teosyl boost the HA in your skin to give targeted areas the volume it needs to appear firm once again. The HA fillers last anywhere from six to 18 months.
Our Sculptra dermal filler use Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), a synthetic lactic acid. Lactic acid is naturally-occurring substance in our body, made by our muscles after exercise.
Sculptra is effective for a longer period of time than HA fillers, but results are not immediate, lasting anywhere between 2-3 years. However, this PLLA filler gives a more intense volume replacement than Restylane or Teosyl so is more commonly used for more severe wrinkles and folds and volume loss.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) uses your own blood – that is centrifuged and converted to a plasma, rich in growth factors and injected into targeted areas. This encourages tissue regeneration and repair. It is excellent for crepey, delicate skin, viz: eyelids, under and around eyes, hands and neck.
To decide which filler will work best on your area of concern, book a consultation with one of the Doctors or highly experienced cosmetic nurses at Vein and Skin Clinic.
