Benign Skin Growths

The Vein and Skin Clinic uses the Ellman Surgitron to excise benign skin growths such as moles or skin tags

Ellman Surgitron

Radiofrequency surgery to successfully remove benign lumps and bumps with virtually no scarring. Lesions are simply vaporised away.  Excellent for moles, skin tags, sun spots, warts and some skin cancers.
All procedures are carried out under a local anaesthetic. Removal of the benign lesion leaves a flat raw area that heals over 7-10 days. Healed skin may have a darker or lighter colour initially. This will fade to normal skin tone over time.

Radiofrequency surgery (with the Elman Surgitron) is minimally invasive, usually requires no stitches and results in little or no scarring.

All procedures are carried out under a local anaesthetic. Removal of the lesion leaves a flat raw area that heals over 7-10 days. Healed skin may have a darker or lighter colour initially. This will fade to normal skin tone over time.

Radiofrequency surgery uses radio-waves, transmitted from a small electrode, to vaporise cells. At the Vein and Skin Clinic an experienced Doctor uses light strokes of the electrode to gradually flatten the lesion.

A special electrode can be used to excise the lesion if required for a better cosmetic result. Skin cancers can be biopsied or removed and sent for histological confirmation.

Consult the Vein and Skin Clinic to see if radiofrequency surgery with the Elman Surgitron can help you.

Anal skin tags

Anal skin tags are a result of a hemorrhoid wound within the anal canal where the surrounding skin becomes persistently inflamed and forms a skin tag (“sentinel tag”).

Hemorrhoids can also lead to excess skin tags once the hemorrhoid has subsided.

These can be sharply painful during bowel movements.

The Surgitron at the Vein and Skin Clinic can remove anal skin tags from the anal area.

Please book in for a consultation with the doctor to see if this treatment is right for you.
