From Wellington to Sydney: A Little Learning, a Lot of Inspiration, and the Future of Skin Rejuvenation!

By Angelique Hopkins | Director, Vein & Skin Aesthetics

Well, I’ve packed my bags, kissed my two little boys goodbye, left them in the capable hands of my husband (wish him luck!) and jumped on a plane to Sydney!

And while a little time away is always lovely, this trip is very much about something I’m incredibly passionate about — continuing to learn, exploring new technology and bringing the very best in aesthetic treatments home to our patients at Vein & Skin Aesthetics.

Joining the Venus Family

We’ve recently made a very exciting investment in the Venus Versa Pro, a sophisticated multi-technology platform that allows us to offer an expanded range of skin rejuvenation, resurfacing and tightening treatments.

So when the opportunity arose to come to Sydney, connect with the Venus team and learn from some of the industry’s international experts, I couldn’t resist!

One of the highlights was hearing from Dr Cheryl Haseeb, who travelled from Texas to share her experience and insights.

Dr Haseeb is the founder of Pura Medical Aesthetics, with practices in Houston and Austin, and is an internationally recognised educator in regenerative aesthetics. She also works closely with Venus Concept, helping practitioners understand how to integrate advanced technology into personalised treatment programmes.

It was fascinating hearing how she has developed her practice and how the aesthetics industry is continuing to evolve.

A New Era of Regenerative Aesthetics

One of the biggest themes of the evening was something we’re seeing more and more in our own clinic.

Patients aren’t necessarily looking to change how they look. They’re looking to maintain their skin, improve its quality and age well.

We’re moving towards a more regenerative approach to aesthetics, focusing on collagen stimulation, skin health and treatments that work with the body’s natural processes.

It’s an exciting direction, and one that fits beautifully with our philosophy at Vein & Skin Aesthetics.

What’s Next for Vein & Skin Aesthetics?

Something I particularly loved about Dr Haseeb’s approach was the idea of creating comprehensive, personalised treatment programmes.

Rather than looking at individual treatments in isolation, we’re exploring how we can combine our technologies to address a patient’s concerns in a more complete and considered way.

From skin rejuvenation and acne scarring to skin tightening and the changes that can occur following significant weight loss, there are some exciting opportunities ahead.

And with our new Venus Versa Pro joining our existing collection of advanced lasers, radiofrequency technologies and injectable treatments, we have plenty to work with!

Bringing It All Back to Wellington

For me, one of the most rewarding parts of running Vein & Skin Aesthetics is having the opportunity to keep learning.

Technology moves quickly in our industry, and I think it’s so important that we continue to invest not only in the equipment we use, but also in our knowledge, training and clinical understanding.

I’m heading home from Sydney with plenty of inspiration, some exciting ideas for our team and a few new treatment programmes I’d love to develop.

But first, I should probably check whether my husband and the boys have survived without me!

Watch this space — there are some exciting things coming to Vein & Skin Aesthetics.
