Vein procedures available in Invercargill
Varicose Veins
Almost one-third of people suffer from varicose veins, and with symptoms such as swelling, burning, and aching, there’s no need to suffer in silence. We offer the very latest in treatment, so contact us to discuss your options.
EVLA (Cool Touch Laser) combined with UGS (Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy)
EVLA treatment is a simple day procedure, and the patient remains awake during the treatment. Tumescent anaesthetic is used to numb the vein that is to be lasered. This procedure can be used to treat even the largest of varicose veins.
Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy
This procedure is used to treat the tortuous superficial varicose vein. An experienced sonographer assists Dr Poczwa during the procedure. Normal activities can be resumed immediately, although compression stockings may need to be worn for a couple of weeks.
Reticular and Spider Veins
When this happens we use Microsclerotherapy to treat them. Much like the above UGS treatment, a very fine needle is used to inject the vein with a chemical solution. This solution breaks down the vein walls, allowing the body to reabsorb the cells.
Anti-aging procedures from a Vein & Skin Clinic cosmetic nurse
Botox treatment
Botox works by preventing the injected muscles from receiving nerve signals that tell them to tense. With prolonged use, this weakens the muscles, reducing wrinkles and in time, the lines caused by frowning or squinting.
